Healthcare delivery is a dynamic and evolving field. New technologies and therapies are emerging almost weekly, enabling life-saving treatment and improving outcomes. With this dynamic nature comes the challenge of providing care that is both safe and effective. The challenge is to ensure that patients receive the right care at the right time, in the most efficient and cost-effective manner possible.
The rising incidence of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) has become a major public health concern in Pakistan. NCDs are chronic diseases that are not transmitted from one person to another, but instead are caused by a combination of genetic, lifestyle, and environmental factors. They include diseases like diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, joint disorders and cancer including gynecological cancers. Pakistan is facing an alarming increase in the incidence of NCDs, with one-third of its population currently suffering from at least one NCD. This trend is expected to continue due to factors like rapid urbanization, changing dietary patterns, sedentary lifestyle, and increasing stress levels.
