8th International Bhurban Conference on Applied Sciences & Technology (IBCAST) was held from 10th – 13th January, 2011 at National Centre for Physics (NCP), Islamabad organized by Centres of Excellence in Science and Applied Technologies (CESAT), Islamabad in Collaboration with Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, China and  Northwestern Polytechnical University, China.

The Conference was opened to all the interested individuals, academia and R&D organizations from all over the world. About 28 foreigners and many local scholars took part in the Conference by contributing technical papers and registration as delegates. A broad range of topics of current interest in Advanced Materials, Wireless Communication & Radar, Fluid Dynamics, Control & Signal Processing, Underwater Acoustics and Medical Sciences were covered in the technical sessions of the conference.
